TERRA or EARTH in 2044 (Life under the Intergalactic Empire)

In the DANIEL ESCAPES books, the Earth or Terra (As the Empirials often call it) is the setting for the beginning of the story. In this alternate Universe, Earth was contacted in grand fashion by the arrival of an massive Empirial fleet in October of 2019. Negotiations began and shortly after failed due to a certain stupid and egotistical female American political leader. Shortly thereafter in the year 2020 the Empire was forced to begin hostile actions against American forces and other allies resulting in a near global war of conquest.

Most of Europe, Egypt, Iran, India, and Japan along with a few other minor nations agreed to join the Empire and so were spared the pain and suffering of war. Almost all others were slotted for conquest and the Empire made fairly quick work of subduing them attempting to produce as few casualties as possible in their actions. Unfortunately the Deep State utilized scalar technology weapons to attack the Earth's landscape and oceans which resulted in great cataclysmic destruction which mainly affected the East Coast of both North and South America along with the Caribbean and the (in their Earth's nomenclature) the Gulf of Mexico. Millions died and all major east coast cities were devastated. Shortly after this the Empire succeed in destroying the Deep State and rescuing as many people as they could. They then swiftly moved in to begin recovery and reconstruction operations. By the year 2022, most of the the rebel forces were conquered and Earth was then transitioned into a military occupied zone with many more nations who had survived the war joining the Empire and receiving the benefits thereof. The Earth was more peaceful at this time that it had been since the Post American Civil War, Victorian Era or the Pax Romana. Even though their were still rebel forces opposed to the Empire's occupation, they were few and not well equipped in most cases so their resistance was easily contained. Any Earth or Terran nation which joined the Empire was not only legally protected from any further molestation but also greatly benefited economically and culturally. These nations and their people became Emperial citizens. Though they only held 2nd class status in the Empire, the people of these new Terran Empirial nations received all manner of benefits nonetheless.

Some of the specifics that these new Emperial citizens found in their lives was the removal of all taxes and almost all fines. All private property became fully owned and operated by its owner without exceptions. All original Title deeds were sent to their original owners. This meant that Terran Emperial people were allowed to do whatever they want (renovated, modify, construct, demolish, etc.) without seeking any other outside authorities' permission. All basic services were taken over by the Empire and thus water and power became abundantly available and free as wells were dug everywhere needed or desalinization plants were set up and free energy magnetic power plants were built. Any third world nation, or former tyrant lead nation, benefitted from this change immediately. No longer would neighborhood councils, city councils, or any other body of civic leadership interfere with or have a say in how a private property owner dealt with or utilized their own assets. In the case where there was a dispute between two or more property owners, the people of Earth were introduced to the Emperial Legal system. Suffice it to say the Empire's proclivity to leave the power and authority of the Jury uninhibited made all the difference. Emperial jurisprudence was also swift and efficient. No longer would people at odds have to wait for months or years for a trail. Most cases were seen and dealt with in a matter of days if not a couple weeks. Thieves and fraudsters saw themselves being sent to Emperial slave camps for a decade at time depending on the severity of their crime. In cases where ample empirical evidence made it clear, all rapists, murderers, and pedophiles were executed on the same day the verdict was handed down. This all ensured that crime rates plummeted world wide. All police work was taken over by highly trained Emperial soldiers; many of whom were from other Emperial worlds. So incompetent policing and racial stereotyping were almost non existent after this change. And instead of enforcing stupid local laws, Emperial police focused on protecting each owner's property from the unlawful use by another or in protecting each citizen from dangers actions by another. No longer were rules of the road enforced. Each vehicle driver was trusted and subsequently held responsible for their own actions. Police were only called when an incident occurred that could not be resolved by the citizens on hand on their own. Other benefits of the Empire taking over Earth's nations was in the removal of all taxes. Vehicle registration and licensing was greatly simplified. A vehicle owner only had to register their vehicle once and collect a license plate when they bought it. Used vehicles simply had to register once and transfer the already placed tags. Drivers licenses were no longer mandatory anywhere or for anybody. All private school education costs were covered by the Empire to include college education of any sort. Student loans and debts were nullified and in some cases paid back. All accreditation "authorities" of school boards were disbanded and schools were all directed to be run by a single authority or headmaster. Schools and colleges were simply given a grade by students and professors as to how good or bad they were. Any organization or singular person could set up a school and so long as the students and staff were successfully serviced by and able to enhance their education within it, that institution received funding from the Empire and was considered a legitimate educational center. Individuals had much more say in their daily lives under Emperial rule. The bureaucracy and corporate sprawl of the past was almost entirely done away with.

Many political and social organizations were done away with, especially when Emperial investigations revealed the rampant fraud, waste, and illegality they were involved in. So all Unions went away, the British Bar Association went away, the Israeli Massad was dismantled, (in many of their cases they were all arrested and tried in court) the many, MANY agencies of the US Government were done away with and a great many NGO's were also forced to shutter and cease functioning. The highest civic ideal under the Intergalactic Empire was that each citizen be free to live the life they chose to live so long as it did not infringe on the rights of any other citizen; ultimate sovereignty some might call it. Most all religious and church organizations were free to continue operations just with criminal leadership removed from office once Emperial investigations found fault. The Vatican and Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) saw their banking organizations dismantled and removed and many of their top leaders were arrested for crimes against humanity. Even a good number of American evangelical leadership were arrested for these things; most of them also being members of the now disbanded World Church organization and Freemason Society. A surprising amount of religious leaders were arrested on charges of human trafficking, rape, and pedophilia. The "Church" of Scientology was completely shut down as almost all of its members were arrested for all manner of crimes. This all made great changes to Earth's society. Most of Hollywood's elite were also arrested for similar crimes against humanity. In this way, the Mafias, crime gangs, and political power houses of the past became no more. Earth was cleansed. This is the state this version of Earth is in at the year 2042 as book 1 begins its narrative, though the story largely takes place within the largely uncivilized and run down sectors of the old American South still recovering from the great cataclysm of the previous war. Much of the story of the first three books will actually take place in the wilderness and on the lands once called South Carolina and now part of the Emperial military occupied Western District.

The great white star represent the Great Republic of the People; America. The field of yellow stars represent the old nations of Europe and seat of Christianity; the foundation of the West. The colorful rising sun represents the oriental world and the Red six pointed start represents all the descendants of Abraham. Finally the great red cross symbolizes the Cross of the Savior; the chief icon and central figure of this planet's life and culture. This was the flag designed by and chosen by the people of Earth to represent them to all other worlds.

This massive space station is more than a mile in height and similar in width. It is designed to accommodate the docking of all manner of starships of all sizes. The long protruding pylons allow for the docking of especially massive ships while most others can dock on or within ship hangar bays. This space station can host many hundreds of thousands of people comfortably with ample recreational and residential space for all.
