Australia's "Area 51"
Because Dr. Stan Deyo is the ONLY source I know that worked in this location - currently this page serves as the landing sight for BOTH he and this clandestine location.
Located in the almost exact center of the southern continent (that some say does not exist) is a small town named Alice Springs. Just a few miles away is the high security facility known as Pine Gap. Both the British and the Americans make use of it alongside the Australians; their clandestine services do anyways. And a Netflix TV show gives a hint as to some of what might go on there.
But Dr. Stan Deyo is one of the few brave souls willing to talk about what it was like to work in this literal great down under base. Though Stan has seen and done allot more than just work here - deep underground. But you will learn all about that if you take the time to get to know him.
As for this base - note that only a small portion of it sits on the surface; most of its secrets and massive facilities lie deep underground.
